How can I send files from my phone to a computer without an app?
Use a browser-based transfer. Open WeScanDrop on the computer, scan the QR code it shows with your phone camera, and pick the files to send. There's nothing to install on either device.
How do I transfer files from an iPhone to a Windows PC?
Open WeScanDrop in a browser on the Windows PC, scan the QR code with your iPhone camera, and choose the photos, videos, or documents to send. They show up on the PC, ready to download. No iTunes, cable, or account needed, and it works the other way too, from the PC to the iPhone.

What is a good AirDrop alternative for Windows and Android?
WeScanDrop works like AirDrop across platforms: it runs in the browser, so iPhone, Android, Windows, and Mac can all send files to each other by scanning a QR code.
Do I need to install an app to use WeScanDrop?
No. WeScanDrop runs in your web browser on phones and computers. A desktop app is available if you want one, but it's optional.
How do I send a file to a computer that isn't mine, like at a library, hotel, or office?
Avoid signing into your email or cloud account on a shared computer. Open WeScanDrop on that computer, scan its QR code with your phone, and send the file. On the free plan, files are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
What is the maximum file size?
Free: up to 3 GB per file. Plus: up to 15 GB. Pro: up to 20 GB.

How can customers send files to my print shop from their phone?
With WeScanDrop Drop Point, you put one QR code on your counter. Customers scan it and upload from their phone, with no app and no email. The file shows up on your shop's screen, ready to print.
What's the easiest print shop file upload from phone?
Drop Point skips the emails, USB sticks, and "can you text it to me." The customer scans, uploads, and you print. You can set it up at wescandrop.com/droppoint.
How does a Drop Point counter QR code work, and how long are files kept?
The QR code on your counter opens your shop's upload page in the customer's phone browser. They pick their files, including large files, and the files appear on your shop's screen. Free (no card) keeps files for 24 hours. Files are deleted automatically after the chosen time.
Is it safe to plug a customer's USB stick into a shop computer?
Unknown USB drives are a well-known way for malware to reach a computer, so many shops avoid them. An upload link or QR code lets the customer send just the file, without connecting their device to your computer.

How do I share an anonymous chat link without giving out my phone number?
Create a WeScanDrop Team and share its link instead of your number. You can post the link anywhere, such as a text, WhatsApp, or a marketplace listing. A free Team lasts 24 hours, and Plus and Pro Teams last 7 days.
Can I chat and share files with someone without creating an account?
Yes. Neither side needs to sign up for a Team. The person you invite opens the link in their browser and joins.
How can I collect files from several people at once?
Share one WeScanDrop Team link. Everyone who joins can chat and share files in the same room.
Plans, pricing, and retention
How much does WeScanDrop cost?
Transfers up to 3 GB per file are free with no sign-up. Free Early Access runs through December 31, 2026: Pro features with a free account, no card and no automatic charge.
How long are files and Teams kept?
Free (no card): 24-hour retention. Plus allows up to 7 days for Teams and Drop Points. Pro offers longer retention only where available; the retention picker shows the supported choices. Printed Drop Point signs show your chosen retention.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer prorated refunds.
