METHODOLOGY

How we test and document file transfer

This methodology keeps product guides useful to people and legible to search and answer engines. It distinguishes measured data, verified facts and editorial judgment.

CHECK 1

Workflow testing

A guide must identify the sending and receiving device, direction, network requirement, installation requirement, account requirement, file behavior and save location. Product instructions are checked against the current browser flow.

CHECK 2

File integrity

Where a guide says files keep their original quality or format, the expected behavior is byte-preserving transfer. Format conversion is never implied unless a separate conversion step is explicitly documented.

CHECK 3

Competitor comparisons

Capabilities and limits are checked against first-party documentation when available. Comparisons credit strengths as well as limitations and include the date reviewed.

CHECK 4

Search-intent research

Editorial priorities combine Search Console queries, US keyword-planning data, search-result features and user problems. Generated seed phrases are kept separate from measured keywords until a data source verifies them.

CHECK 5

Updates and corrections

Pages are reviewed after material product or platform changes and on a scheduled content cycle. Unsupported superlatives are removed or replaced with a documented benchmark.

Current evidence boundary

Keyword volume, rank and CPC fields remain blank or marked pending until imported from Google Search Console or Keyword Planner. We do not present generated keyword variants as measured demand.
